The $33 million redevelopment of the 93-year-old, 14-story building at 33 John R St. in downtown Detroit is nearing its end. Its owners and Mayor Mike Duggan opened the doors into the Metropolitan's Great Hall on Monday afternoon in a dedication ceremony.
